I posted the following at another web forum and I thought it would be good to add to this blog.

QWISO, wax, etc. an eclipse vape may be your best choice. I could not believe the difference comparing the QWISO to RSO in the eclipse vape. The QWISO is so much more efficient and easier to use too. Cheap and convenient for home use. You will need a torch type lighter to use the eclipse vape. I prefer the dual flame type. They also make a similar unit that attaches to a water bong. I may have to get me one.

For concentrated cannabis oils that are not decarbed, I would recommend the eclipse vape. For concentrated cannabis oils thar are decarbed, I do not recommend the eclipse vape. Mine came in a really cool carrying case too. You can get extra glass vials also.

okay, so now I have to get the dang eclipse H2O water pipe rig! I am used to using RSO. It can be impressive in the eclipse vapes but very wasteful and very easy to get harsh and painful hits. Heating it is almost like an art and requires skill for it to be enjoyable. That is why I stopped using it, was too much of a PITA. RSO works great in the electronic vaporizers when mixed with PG USP. Keep in mind RSO is decarbed concentrated oil.

Anyway, I just tried QWISO for the first time in my hand held eclipse vape. QWISO, being not decarbed, is very similar in the electronic e-cigg vaporizers, but WOW, a big difference in the eclipse vape. It brings a whole new life to my eclipse vape. This was surprising to me, the taste. Almost identical to my iClear 30b. Keeping in mind that has PG USP added to it. With the eclipse, the QWISO straight, it has virtually the exact same taste. Maybe it is just the strain that I used, I do not know. I do know that it was so much more enjoyable vs. RSO when it comes to the eclipse vape. It may be the best way to use QWISO. A lot less waste, you can really apply a lot more heat without damaging the oil. It dose not require as much skill in heating as the RSO. I will be using my eclipse vape more often with the QWISO now that I know what I know.

Just wanted to pull it out to test it with QWISO to see if I really want the eclipse H2O water bong attachment. The eclipse vape I have now says made in California, USA right on it too!

An eclipse vape for vaping or smoking may be the best way to go for non decarbed concentrates. I think I have seen the hand held unit as low as $49.

I have seen the hand held units cheap, I am not sure if they were the original eclipse vape or an imitation though.

I just might be ordering myself a back up now that I know QWISO works well in them http://eclipsevapevaporizer.com/

The eclipse vape is great and all, but I find myself immediately wanting to go back to my SVD.

I do recommend that everyone try an eclipse vape. They are worth it and very high quality. For $50 or less, you can't beat it. With oils that are not decarbed I would put it up there on the low end of medicinal quality use. It some what compares to e-vaporizing. It is nice how you can get it extra hot and in between smoke and vapor.

Either way, I find myself going back to the SVD for single handed ease of use. There is just something about the SVD, I just can't get enough!

The following is my reply to a question I received in regards to e-cannabis oil. By no means is this the only other reply I have given nor is it the only comment I have received. I have received many questions and compliments as well as others reporting their success of finding what they were looking for in e-cannabis oil.

I do not recommend using the Bicardi 151 or any other 151 proof alcohol, there is too much water in it. I am sure you are aware that 99% isopropyl alcohol is also a good solvent. Here is a link to where you can get some 190 everclear, they will ship to Michigan. http://www.winechate...OHOL-190@-750ML

You don't have to use RSO, you can use QWISO. There is a big difference in the taste between the two.

The clearomizers you are using, well, I don't recommend them. Those look like they are all single coil the one on the left and middle appear to be C4's. The one on the right I am guessing is a bottom single coil with glass. I don't recommend glass. I just learned this. I also don't recommend a single coil when it comes to cannabis oil. It is easier to burn, harsher, and as for the glass, same problem. It is more tasty, but it can seriously aid in the harshness or burning feeling. Not just that, the air intake has a lot to do with the harshness. I noticed my Pro Tank 3 has much more air intake and is much harsher than my iClear 30b. The iClear 30b has a more restricted air intake. You kind of take little power puffs instead of long drags. There is just something about it when you add more air, there is a lot more burning or harshness. The C4 clearomizers have more air intake since they are only single coil and the way they are designed.

The units I recommend for e-cannabis oil are only innokin products. iClear 30b, iClear 30, and iClear 16. Also, you may prefer an iClear 16b, however, these only have eGo threads. All of these units are double coil and better yet, the coils criss cross, they are the best. My favorite so far is the iClear 30b, it is heavy, but I like it a lot. It does get more leakage to the battery due to the b units are bottom fed. However, since the wicks are short and it being bottom fed, it is worth the bit of leaking or drippage from use. It just three times faster than a top fed unit, the drippage. If you are concerned about your battery, you can always use a 510 to 510 sealed connector. I use those on all of my pen battery chargers. I clean my SVD each time I take the clearomizer off. I clean it with alcohol. It is worth the minimal hassle.

It is not just me saying this. Each patient that has tried my SVD said it is the best they have ever had.

With vaporizing, the cleaner the oil, the better. Have you considered winterizing your oil?

Just going with QWISO alone, using no heat, the oil seems to come out cleaner, less dark. It is different, but just as good.

Are you doing a frozen extract? Here is how I do mine http://www.rollitup....ncentrated.html

I recommend doing the extraction with 99% iso. After it is fully purged and done, dilute it with 190 Everclear, like a cup worth four up to 5 grams. Put it in a jar in the freezer for three days. Then pour it through a coffee filter into your purge pan. That should make your oil come out cleaner. Yes you will lose some of your weight, but oh man, the difference it can make. The cleaner the oil, the better when it comes to vaping.

Instead of using those C4 clearomizers. Switch to a rebuildable iClear 16. Those are dual coil and are a lot smoother. They just work better. I get most of my stuff at High Desert Vapes. They don't have the iClear 30b yet, but I am sure they will soon. The iClear 30b used on the SVD is the best I have had yet. The second best is a regular iClear 30. The third best is an iClear 16. I would throw the Pro Tank 3 in there, it could actually be the second best, maybe if I tried thick metal tips, but I don't think so due to the extra air flow.

Here is a link to my vapor blog, on the bottom of page 1 is a link to SkunkPharms winterizing, they call it polishing. http://michiganmedic...-cigarette-oil/

Lastly, I would not try the VG, it does not mix well and really serves no purpose. I would only stick with using the PG USP. You just need the right vaping equipment and the cleanest possible oil.

I hope this information has been helpful. You gotta keep going. You'll get it down. I was in the same position you are in trying to figure out what works best. For good reason. Convenient vaping of oil is the safest way to consume cannabis aside from edibles.
